When lights are out indefinitely and people are wagging their fans furiously, I’d like to think of Meralco as a high tech fast paced laboratory with middle aged men in orange jumpsuits analyzing color coded wires and detecting a tiny glitch that caused a massive black out.  Affecting the daily routines of thousands and influencing the little decisions everyone has to make. A young man, his first day on the job will point a casual solution as simple as securing a random plug to the right socket. There is a minute spark and buzzing sound to signal the city coming back to life. People will sigh with relief, turn on the air conditioning, connect to the Internet and continue their lives like nothing happened. They’re grateful in that instant but not the moment after, for they will surely find other things to complain about.
